  • Tracy Bevill, Tim Kirby, Chris Lipscomb and James Turkette attended Lennox Factory training in Greenville, SC on the new Lennox CBX32MV communicating air handlers and controls. 

  •  Michael Davis and Bobby Bevill attended National Comfort Institute's 2010 Summit in Jacksonville, FL.  Michael and Bobby received training on new instruments, technology and methods to insure the system's installed and serviced by Davis Services are designed, installed and serviced to the strictest standards in the industry and deliver the highest levels of efficiency and comfort to our customers.

  • Bobby Bevill, Timothy Whitesides, Tracy Bevill and Tim Kirby attended Trane training in Greenville, SC on air flow and duct design modifications required to truly get the new high SEER equipment of today to deliver the efficiencies expected.

  • Robin Bevill, Jeff Bishop, Tracy Bevill and Bobby Bevill attended Carrier Factory training and certification on Carrier Infinity Systems.  Each of these techs would love the opportunity to speak with you about one of Carrier's nicest systems.

  •  Mike Redden attended National Comfort Institute training and certification in Combustion and Carbon Monoxide Analysis in Charlotte, NC.  Mike makes 6 the number of technicians employed by Davis Services who have been trained by Jim Davis, the country's foremost combustion and CO expert.  Davis Services takes great pride in being able to bring this level of expertise to our area and our customers.

   Gas Ranges Recalled Due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Hazard
About 900 gas ranges are being recalled because they can release carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas that can be very toxic and even deadly.  The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling about 900 Electrolux ICON and Kenmore 30" PRO Gas Ranges made by Electrolux Home Products Inc. and sold in appliance stores nationwide.  If you have one, stop using the oven and contact Electrolux ICON or Sears to schedule a free repair.  The cooktop can still be used.  For additional information, contact Electrolux at (888) 360-8557 or visit www.gasrangeorifice.com.  Consumers with Kenmore PRO brand ranges should call Sears at (800) 733-2299.

  • Larry Chance, James Turkette and Tracy Bevill attend training Lennox training by a factory trainer this week in Fountain Inn, SC.  The topics covered were CBX27 air handler wiring, ComfortSense 7000 thermostats and new furnace models.
 

Help My House Energy Makeover Contest Winner

Seven electric cooperative families will win up to $10,000 in energy efficiency upgrades this fall as part of the "Help My House" contest from the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina.  Co-op homeowners were eligible to enter their primary residences in the statewide contest between August 1st and September 15th and four finalists were chosen in each of the state's seven television markets from the applicants.  Of these applicants, a grand prize winner was selected and will receive up to $10,000 in energy efficiency improvements which could include new heating/air conditioning units, insulation, water heaters and other energy efficiency upgrades.  The winner in the Greenville/Spartanburg Region is Eric and Melissa Drummond of Woodruff, SC.  Eric and Melissa were suprised at their home in Woodruff by the "prize patrol" Monday at noon and will be eagerly looking forward to the work being started on their home.
 
H1N1 - Swine Flu
   Everyone is concerned about the H1N1 Swine Flu that has been constantly in the news and so have we here at Davis Services, Inc.  We want the best for our friends, families and customers and that is why we offer RGF products, which have been tested by Kansas State University and proven to be 99+% effective against the H1N1 virus.  Several of our own employees have added PHI cells to their systems at home to protect their families and so have we here in our building.  Please watch for more breaking news on this issue.

  • Bobby Bevill, our service manager, recently took and passed the North American Technician Excellence certification exam in Columbia, SC.  This is a industry certification that is valid for 5 years.

  •  James Turkette, one of our PM Techs, recently gained his EPA Section 608 certification by taking and passing the proctored exam.

  • Robin Bevill, one of the service technicians, is away this week being trained and re-certified to service WaterFurnace products.  He'd be glad to speak with anyone interested in the latest geothermal systems being offered.

  • Bobby Bevill, DJ Biggs, Tracy Bevill, Chris Lipscomb, Brad Lawson and Tim Kirby attended Lennox training by a factory trainer in Fountain Inn, SC.  The topics covered were the installation and service of the latest Lennox air handler and gas furnace being offered, the CBX40 and G71.

  • Timothy Whitesides, our commercial consultant, was recently certified by Mainstream Engineering as a certified Green HVAC/R Technician.  Timothy would love to speak with you about your building needs and how you can reduce your carbon footprint and do your part to become more "Green".

  •  Three of our service technicians, DJ Biggs, Jeff Bishop and Brad Lawson recently attended training and were re-certified in Residential Air Diagnostics and Balancing by National Comfort Institute.  Davis Services makes every attempt to have the best trained technicians in our area.
